Wärtsilä Navi-Planner

Wärtsilä Navi-Planner is passage planning and route optimization software sold inside Wärtsilä Marine's navigation portfolio. A navigation officer builds a berth-to-berth route, selects and updates the charts for it inside the same tool, and layers weather, MARPOL and piracy overlays over the passage, which is what turns a hand-built plan into an audit-ready one.

It is sold to reduce planning time and to stay clean on inspection. Wärtsilä ships the software together with its own official electronic navigation charts, digital publications and notices to mariners, supports the S-100 chart format, and builds in passage plan validation and routing across emission control areas, so a plan can be shown to meet SOLAS requirements, company policy and PSC inspectors. It is bought through Wärtsilä's marine sales channel against a demonstration request rather than a public price list.

Navi-Planner plans and validates. It is not a commercial voyage management system and not a weather routing desk: estimates, fixtures and voyage P&L sit in systems such as Veson, and routing services like StormGeo or ZeroNorth are a different purchase with a different crew behind them. It also does not replace an onboard ECDIS — the charts and publications it manages are what feed that.
