smartPAL is the flagship ship-management platform from MariApps Marine Solutions, a maritime software company headquartered in Singapore with development centers across India. It is a web-based, cloud-supported suite of more than 30 modules that share one vessel record, and MariApps reports it implemented on over 5,100 vessels.
The Commercial module handles vessel employment: pre-fixture, voyage schedules, delivery and redelivery status, and charter expenses. Around it sit a planned maintenance system certified by DNV, Bureau Veritas, ABS, LR, and CCS, plus crewing and payroll, HSEQ and document management, procurement with the eConnect vendor platform, catering, and marine accounting. Shipboard modules work offline and replicate data to shore when connectivity returns.
smartPAL competes with BASSnet, Hanseaticsoft Cloud Fleet Manager, and ShipNet for fleet-suite deals. MariApps sells adjacent products separately, including cruisePAL for cruise operators and OceanOpt for emissions compliance, but smartPAL is the suite owners and third-party managers evaluate for core fleet operations.
