OrbitMI

OrbitMI is a New York-based maritime software company whose Orbit platform acts as a hub for voyage operations. Instead of replacing the systems an owner already runs, it connects AIS, noon reports, VMS data, weather, port information, and market data into one place that shore teams and crews can decide from.

The product family covers three jobs: Orbit Reporter for daily noon reporting with built-in data validation, an optimization layer for voyage decisions and fuel costs, and compliance workflows for evolving environmental regulation. The customers OrbitMI shows on its site include Stena, Furetank, Crowley, Klaveness, and Western Bulk, spanning tanker, dry bulk, and mixed-fleet operators.

OrbitMI sits next to the commercial VMS rather than competing for the contract of record: a Veson or Sedna can stay in place while Orbit supplies the operational data layer. The company is headquartered in New York City and runs a partner program for system integrations.
